Welcome to Haslam Park Primary School
We are delighted to welcome you to Haslam Park Primary School, a school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best. We are a school with high expectations, a strong moral purpose and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child belongs, achieves and thrives.
We are immensely proud of our vibrant, diverse and inclusive school community. Our children and families bring a rich variety of cultures, languages and experiences that make Haslam Park such a special place to learn and grow. We serve a community with significant levels of socioeconomic disadvantage, a high proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language and high levels of pupil mobility, with children joining us at different stages of their education. We embrace this diversity and recognise the importance of understanding each child's individual needs, experiences and starting points.
Our context shapes our provision, but it does not limit our ambition. We are extremely proud that our pupils consistently demonstrate what can be achieved through high expectations, excellent teaching and a shared determination to succeed. Our outcomes are strong, with attainment in key areas exceeding national and local averages. Particularly importantly, our disadvantaged pupils achieve well above national outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, reflecting our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed, whatever their background or circumstances.
Our ambitious, carefully sequenced and inclusive curriculum is designed to provide all pupils with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to succeed. We place a strong emphasis on securing the foundations of learning, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics, while providing a broad and enriching curriculum that develops curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. We are committed to identifying and removing barriers, ensuring that pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those learning English as an additional language and those joining our school at different points receive the support and challenge they need to flourish.
We are proud of our confident, resilient, respectful and ambitious children, who demonstrate positive attitudes to learning and take pride in their achievements. Safeguarding, wellbeing and positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We provide a calm, nurturing and purposeful environment where children feel safe, valued and listened to, and where kindness, respect and a strong sense of belonging underpin school life.
Our dedicated staff work in close partnership with parents, carers, governors and the wider community to maintain high standards and continually improve the quality of education we provide. We recognise the vital role families play in children's success and are committed to building positive, trusting relationships that help every child reach their potential.
At Haslam Park Primary School, we celebrate our diversity, take pride in our achievements and remain ambitious for every child's future. We believe that every child deserves the very best education, every child can succeed and every child should leave us confident, capable and ready for the next stage of their learning and life beyond school.
